Where will my portraits be taken? I have two locations to choose from. The first is in a private studio in my home in Hampstead, NH. There is natural light and great furniture, and backgrounds for props. The second is in a 4000 sq. foot studio in the East Mills in North Andover, MA. This studio is also ideal for your photo shoot in that it has many many sets, backgrounds, gorgeous furniture, and lighting options for the most variety of images.
How far in advance of my wedding or event do I need to book a photo session? If you are presenting your fiance with images the weekend of your wedding – or if you are celebrating a one, five, ten or twenty year anniversary and need photo gifts in time for the day, please allow approximately 6 weeks prior. I can meet your deadline with less time, but for the least amount of stress for everyone involved, 6 weeks is ideal.
What is the timeline for the process? An in-person viewing/ordering/purchasing appointment will be scheduled 2 weeks after your photo session. This session will take place in Hampstead, NH and Linda will give you as much assistance as you need to make the perfect decisions about purchasing images and photo products.
What do I need to do to book a session? A $100 retainer is due to hold your date and secure your makeup artist. Your session retainer is non-refundable, however if 96 hours notice is given, the retainer can be transferred to a new date.
Will I be photographed by a female? Absolutely, Kiss and Tell Boudoir Photography is a boutique portrait studio and Linda is the one and only photographer.
Is retouching included? Yes! Images will be cropped, color corrected and basic retouching is applied before your viewing/ordering session. Additional retouching, airbrushing, and slimming can and will be done on all photographs that are ordered either as prints or in your album.
Do I bring my own clothing? Yes, please. Lingerie and any clothing that you would like to be photographed in are provided by you. Also, bring your favorite shoes, chunky fun jewelry and items such as your partner’s workshirt, tie, uniform pieces . . . I’ve included a page with some clothing ideas for all body shapes and sizes. I did not take these particular photos, but they are provided to give you some ideas of items that work well for your shoot. Clothing Ideas
How do I prepare for my photo session? If you have arranged for hair and makeup with the studio, please arrive an hour and a half prior to your actual session time. Hair should be clean and dry and your face should be free of makeup and simply moisturized. Please be aware that getting rid of tan lines is not easily done – please plan accordingly. Please remove price tags from the bottom of your shoes. Please know that it is normal to be nervous and excited. After you get by the first few minutes, you will forget all of those nerves as we start to flow you naturally from pose to pose. You will have so much fun!
Can I bring a friend to my shoot? You are welcome to bring a friend, but please make sure that you are completely comfortable with wearing lingerie and posing in front of your bff. Linda also asks that your friend refrain from giving input, coaching, photo ideas during the shoot as this will hinder your ability to connect with Linda and relax with the flow and the process.
Please don’t hesitate to give Linda a call to schedule your shoot and ask any additional questions. We are so excited to work with you!
